Controlled rate freezer for research into the cryopreservation of a wide range of materials, including embryos, stem cells, mammalian cells, spermatozoa, antibodies, tissue sections and rodent organs. Suitable for use in cleanrooms and barrier facilities. The freezing and thawing rate is precisely controlled to ensure accuracy and reproducibility throughout the freezing and thawing profile, especially for the nucleation and seeding phase. This enables optimum recovery of cells during thawing.
-Accurate and reproducible control of cooling rates and sample temperatures
-Samples can be nucleated/seeded in-situ
-Controlled and customisable freezing and thawing
-Linear and non-linear cooling profiles
-Liquid nitrogen, alcohol and cryogen free
-Operation can be carried out with or without a PC
-Free software to design, track, export and report temperature profiles
-Low running costs: estimated at 1 % of liquid nitrogen controlled rate freezing
-Temperature remains at -100 °C at the end of cycle for straw applications until freezer is switched off
-Optional available is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for completing the running cycle if power fails
